Dr. Jeffrey Huttman

CEO and Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Jeffrey Huttman has been practicing in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over twenty years and is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida. Dr. Huttman began his academic pursuits in psychology at Temple University. After earning his Master’s of Arts degree in General Psychology from Adelphi University he went on to receive a second master’s degree and his Ph.d. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Huttman specializes in the treatment of chemical dependence and co-occurring disorders as well as acute psychiatric conditions, trauma, and anxiety. He has expertise in diagnostics, as well as program development and administration. Prior to his work as CEO of Evolutions Treatment Center, Dr. Huttman served as the Clinical Director of a psychiatric hospital, Clinical Director of a private residential drug and alcohol treatment center, and Chief Clinical Officer of a treatment center for co-occurring psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Huttman’s research interests and pursuits include the intergenerational transmission and effects of trauma, the Holocaust, and attachment theory.

Jacqueline Boutrouille, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Boutrouille has been practicing in the field of addiction for many years and is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, Addiction Certified, and Outpatient Opiate Detox Certified. She previously served as Medical Director for several inpatient detox units and is experienced with protracted withdrawal syndrome. She has run her own successful private practice for more than twenty years while serving as Medical Director of a rehabilitation program. Dr. Boutrouille attributes much of her success in the addiction treatment realm to her expertise at treating dual diagnosis. In addition, her background in family medicine and holistic medicine are assets that she utilizes to assist patients with their recovery. Dr. Boutrouille enjoys lecturing Residents in Psychiatry on the specialty of Addiction Treatment.

Cesar L. Benarroche, M.D., FAPA, FASAM

Staff Psychiatrist

Cesar is a Double Board Certified Psychiatrist (Psychiatry and Neurology and Addiction Medicine) with over 25 years of psychopharmacologic, psychotherapeutic, teaching, and research experience. Dr. Benarroche was a faculty member at Yale University’s Department of Psychiatry for nine years. Dr. Benarroche’s clinical research and treatment focus have centered on the treatment and neurobiology of anxiety, compulsive, and Co-occurring Disorders. He was the Founding Member and Medical Director of a Residential Treatment Center for dually diagnosed individuals located in Palm Beach County for 16 years where he developed a state of the art treatment program that blended Dialectical Behavioral, Motivational and Medically Assisted treatment strategies. Since then he has been a consultant for Program Development and Specialty Training for various drug and alcohol rehabilitative centers in South Florida

Charles Shenker, M.D.


A Member of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Charles Shenker is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and provides medical care here at Evolutions Treatment Center. His many certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine, The American Board of Medicine (Pulmonary Disease), and the National Board of Medical Examiners. For over 25 years, Dr. Shenker has been a successful practicing physician in south Florida and is proud and excited to lend his considerable experience and expertise to ensuring the best level of care possible for our Clients.

Dr. Leslie (aka Leddi) Fraser

Clinical Director and Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Fraser has focused her career on the clinical and scientific study of human behavior. She has extensive experience as a clinician and in healthcare operations, with a proven track record in direct services and management. She has recently refocused her efforts toward supervising and guiding therapists to utilize empirically validated clinical interventions with various presenting problems, including co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders.

Holding a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Fraser has worked as a clinician, art therapist, clinical supervisor, and as an Associate Director at a community mental health center. Dr. Fraser earned her doctoral and Master’s degree at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, an art therapy diploma in Toronto, and her bachelor’s degree at York University in Toronto.

Fran Kranz, L.PN., CD

Staff Nurse

Fran Kranz started her career in 1977 as a hospital medical/surgical nurse. In the mid 1980’s she entered the field of addiction treatment working with methadone patients, first as a dispensing nurse and then as Clinic Coordinator. Fran has also worked as a nurse in a detox hospital as well as with two PHP/IOP programs.

Dr. Jessica Aron

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Aron is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and lives by the principles that she teaches.

She has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is highly skilled at helping people regulate their emotions while implementing effective coping skills that will improve their overall quality of life. In addition to DBT approaches, her therapeutic style integrates various evidence-based treatments. These treatments include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy.

Dr. Aron is dedicated to helping individuals make positive shifts in their lives through a compassionate and empowering approach. She guides clients in making lasting changes through a focus on the present moment, an increased awareness of one’s emotional experience, and effective coping strategies.


Dr. Greg Adelstein

Primary Therapist

Dr. Greg Adelstein received his masters’ and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Washington D.C. campus. He completed his doctoral internship at St. Charles Youth Center, which is a juvenile male adolescent prison outside of Chicago, IL providing individual and group therapy, and psychological evaluations.

Dr. Greg Adelstein has been working in the field of addictions for the past 7 years. Prior to joining the Evolutions Treatment Center as a primary therapist, Dr. Adelstein worked as a primary therapist at Challenges Treatment Center and spent 4 years at the Watershed Treatment Program in order to fine tune his clinical skills and to develop an integrated approach to therapy.

Dr. Adelstein provides a variety of therapeutic approaches that fit the client’s needs to better reach them. Dr. Adelstein is a native Floridian, growing up in Lauderdhill, FL attending Nova High School and Florida State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Lori Kramer-Feingold, LCSW

Primary Therapist

Lori Kramer-Feingold has been working in the addiction/mental health field for over 14 years. Lori’s passion for working with this population motivated her to go back to school to obtain her graduate degree in Social Work at Barry University (MSW), and to further her responsibility to this population by becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); which further constitutes her commitment to excellence in the therapeutic environment.

Lauren Morris, LMHC, CAP


Lauren earned her master’s degree in mental health (LMHC), and a certification as an addiction professional (CAP). She has worked with substance use and co-occurring disorders in South Florida for the past thirty years.

Lauren has been extensively trained in rapid trauma resolution by Dr. Jon Connolly. Additionally, she facilitates support groups for lawyers through the Florida Lawyers Assistance Program and groups for nurses through the Intervention Project for Nurses Program.

Carol Tannen - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Evolutions Treatment Center

Carol Tannen, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Carol is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over four decades of experience. She has worked with Clients of all ages on an in-patient as well as out-patient basis who have experienced a variety of emotional, psychological and physically challenging struggles. She is also a Veterinary Assistant, has been a horse owner for over 20 years and has enjoyed sharing her home with numerous pets.

Carol provides Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Canine Assisted Psychotherapy (CAP) for interested clients at Evolutions. This program is an innovative, experiential treatment approach that has become increasingly popular in the addiction treatment community.

The horses and dogs utilized in this unique and productive therapy are particularly responsive animals with distinct personalities and an acute awareness and sensitivity to their surroundings and to humans. They are friendly and interact in a warm and caring manner.

Interaction between the animal and the client, facilitated and guided by the Equine/Pet Specialist and Therapist, helps the Client identify dysfunctional thoughts and destructive patterns of behavior while modifying self-concepts, increasing personal awareness and emotional growth, and improving communication skills.

Participation in our Equine and Canine Assisted Psychotherapy programs is an option available to Evolutions Clients in our core addiction treatment.

Carrie Eberhart, NCC, LMHC

Outpatient Coordinator

Carrie Eberhart is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor. She is licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Carrie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Substance Abuse and Addiction Counseling. She has over 20 years of experience in counseling individuals, couples, and families in the field of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. She integrates the best components of several therapies to help change negative thought, behavior, and relationship patterns that contribute to relapse, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal conflict.

Ron Sherman, LCSW, CAP


Ron is a licensed social work therapist, with a certification in addictions counseling (CAP). He has been practicing in Broward County for over twenty years, and has worked in BSO’s drug court outpatient programs, residential facilities, outpatient programs, and private practice this year. Ron employs client-centered therapy, rational-behavior (RBT), cognitive restructuring, and behavior modification, to help patients achieve mastery of their issues completion of goals. In addition the bio-psycho-social-spiritual components of addiction and its consequences on the individual are carefully examined, and systematically treated for maximum benefit. Ron has extensive experience working with family groups, EAP and aftercare programs. He teaches relapse prevention training, stress/anger mgmt workshops, problem-solving methods, assertive communications, and meditation. Ron conducts high quality, in-depth assessments, for diagnosis, treatment planning, and/or referral purposes. Finally, Ron is a certified national compulsive gambling counselor, with over twenty six years of personal recovery experience in 12 step groups.

Candace Newton, MFT

Primary Therapist

Candace Newton earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and is currently working towards her license. Candace works from a systemic perspective and believes that working with the family dynamic is paramount in healing and growth. She uses a collaborative approach in building a therapeutic alliance, meeting the client where they are emotionally in order to explore their needs and goals. Candace’s unique background in music, art and theatre allows her to access a creative perspective, encouraging the client to safely explore deep issues that contribute to anxiety, depression, anger, PTSD, substance abuse and interpersonal conflict. Candace also incorporates narrative therapy techniques to help the client make meaning of their life experiences, shifting them from talking about the problem to living in the solution.

Andy Viedrah, LMFT


Andy Viedrah is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Certified Addictions Professional, and serves as a psychotherapist at Evolutions. Andy has 30 years’ experience in the field of drug addiction therapy, working with many populations in both the residential dual-diagnosis and outpatient settings. A Graduate of USF with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, Andy is the Founder of the L.E.A.V.E. Program, a program for battered spouses and domestic partners in Delray Beach, FL.

ShaRone Kushnir, BMUS. MS. IMH.

Registered Psychotherapist

ShaRone Kushnir is a registered intern in mental health in the state of Florida. He holds a Bachelors of Music from Berklee College of Music, a Masters of Science in clinical & counseling psychology from Capella University, and a Masters of Science in general psychology from Carlos Albizu University. He is currently in the midst of his PsyD doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology. ShaRone has a rich creative background in music, film and the dramatic arts. Born in Israel, he lived in Johannesburg South Africa, Boston, Los Angeles, and currently resides in Miami. He has travelled extensively while being an ardent student of esoteric and ethnobotanical studies in both academic and ceremonial settings. ShaRone utilizes a holistic existential approach to psychotherapy, integrating the whole person in the context of biology, behavior, spirituality, and creativity.

Karen Gauci

Licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist, M.P.H., R.D., L.D.

Karen M. Gauci, a nutritional consultant to celebrities such as Buddy Hackett, Liza Minelli and Goldie Hawn at the Palm-Aire Spa Resort in Pompano Beach, Florida, is a registered and licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Karen is author of the cookbook, “Delicious Nutritious Spa Recipes from the Spa at Palm-Aire”. A few years ago, Karen wrote a program for large corporations to help lower their health cost entitled “Superitis, A 5 Star Plan For Better Health”. She is a frequent speaker at corporate conventions and has appeared in programs for Toyota, The American Cancer Society and Northern Trust Bank.

Karen works with professional athletes and has consulted for NFL Football’s Chris Carter’s FAST Program to increase athletic performance. Karen’s knowledge and involvement in competitive swimming led to her place in the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Currently in private practice in Boca Raton, Florida, Karen is owner and president of 2001 Nutrition Services, Inc., a company with a philosophy of providing education and counseling in all areas related to nutrition. Karen’s specialties include nutritional evaluation, counseling and diet recommendations for weight management, chronic disease risk reduction, health promotion and wellness, sports nutrition, pediatrics, eating disorders, substance abuse and psychiatric problems.

Karen previously traveled around the world for her clients to train personal chefs in the preparation of foods low in fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar. She also offers assistance in menu planning, label reading, and proper portion control.

Ahuva Gamliel

Licensed Acupuncture Physician

Ahuva Gamliel earned a Naturopathic Doctor degree and a Master’s in Acupuncture from Bastyr University, a world renowned school for evidence-based natural medicine. She is a licensed Acupuncture Physician/Primary Care Provider and been featured on Channel 10, Univision Channel 23, and Channel 6, and on numerous radio and internet interviews as an expert in her field. She holds specialty certifications in treating addictions with acupuncture as well as in vitamin and homeopathic injection therapy. Prior to establishing her private practice in south Florida, Dr. Gamliel did an acupuncture internship in Chengdu, China and subsequently pioneered bringing acupuncture on board cruise ships.

Dr. Gamliel’s passion and focus is on helping people to heal themselves. Because education and prevention are paramount to achieving this goal, Dr. Gamliel taught holistic medicine courses at Everglades University in Boca Raton, Florida where she was a professor of Alternative Medicine. She has also been a guest lecturer at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami Beach.

Dr Gamliel has been in practice for over 11 years. When she is not practicing natural medicine or teaching, she enjoys water sports, running 5K races, dancing, gymnastics, the beach, travel, writing and recording music and meditations, and learning.

Gabriel Baum

Licensed Massage Therapist

Gabriel Baum is a licensed massage therapist/sports therapist with six years of experience. Many have told him he has a very special touch and it is a quality that must come naturally. In addition to his work with Evolutions Treatment Center, Gabriel runs his own massage therapy practice. He holds the very popular responsibility of helping clients relax and rid their bodies of built up stress and muscle tension.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and took many pre-med classes including Anatomy and Physiology. He continued his education at Miami-Dade Medical campus and received an 8-month massage therapy degree. Specializing in deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and sports massage; Gabriel has experience with professional athletes, high end spa clientele, and people suffering from all types of addiction.

Every person’s body is different and receiving therapy on the soft tissues will indeed lead to more efficient muscle output. He is trained to access the body and help individuals relieve tension and break up any adhesions that were inhibiting maximum potential activity. Using his hands, elbows, and forearms along with different types of strokes and maneuvers allows him to accomplish the objective of healing the body and preparing it for everyday activities. What sets Gabriel apart from other therapists is paying attention to detail. When he finds an area that needs attention, he ensures the client will leave the table not just worked on, but effectively analyzed through touch and is now on the road to recovery; Recovery either from previous injury or whether it be just muscle tension. With his talent, he hopes to provide therapy to many for years to come.

Blake Cohen, CAP

Admissions Director

Blake Cohen graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Psychology and is a Certified Addictions Professional. Over the course of his career, Blake has worked as a behavioral health technician, outreach/social media marketer, substance abuse/mental health admissions coordinator, and certified group therapy facilitator. His thirst for knowledge and deep personal connection to the field of substance abuse and drug addiction therapy, in combination with his strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, help him shine in his current position of Admissions Director at Evolutions. He strives to strengthen our community and improve the lives of those in need by delivering exceptional health and human services tailored to meet individual needs.

Christine Holloway

Admissions Liaison

Christine has been working in the addiction treatment field for 14 years. She has broad experience that includes marketing, admissions, insurance and case management. Having come from a family that experienced addiction, Christine loves her job as our Admissions Liaison and helping others overcome the disease while watching them recover and succeed in life.
