Evolutions Treatment Center: Licensed Mental Health Programs

continuing careEvolutions incorporates the most effective evidence based psychological and psychiatric therapies to provide comprehensive outpatient treatment services for mental health difficulties. Among other difficulties, we treat Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Trauma, Thought Disorders, and Personality Disorders.  When one’s diagnosis is unclear we offer comprehensive assessment including the ability to perform psychological assessment testing batteries in order to clarify what the true concern is.

According to the most recently published data by Mental Health America (MHA) in their State of Mental Health in America 2018 survey, more than 43 million Americans suffer from a mental health condition.  With 18% of adult Americans reporting a mental health condition, if you are experiencing troubling emotional symptoms you are not alone.  4.2 million adults live with an Anxiety Disorder.  16 million adults live with Major depression.  9.6 million American adults have reported experiencing suicidal thoughts. Nearly half of those struggling with a mental health disorder have a co-occurring substance abuse disorder. Unfortunately, 58% of adults struggling with mental illness receive no treatment and needlessly live with such difficulties. Mental health conditions are able to be overcome, but reaching out for help and receiving treatment is critical.

Dually licensed to treat mental health and substance use disorders for men and women ages 18 and over, Evolutions Treatment Center has a comprehensive team of advanced level professionals ready to help. MHA data reveals an extensive shortage of mental health providers with over 4,000 areas across the US, containing 110,000,000 million people, experiencing an insufficient amount of treatment professionals. Florida is the 43rd lowest ranked state in terms of mental health provider availability. This is not the case at Evolutions, where we have a complete multi-disciplinary team of addiction and mental health professions that are here to help.  Our licensed and certified clinical staff partner with patients and their families to develop an individualized care plan in a safe and comforting environment.

We offer a range of short and long term mental health programs to meet individual needs; including partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient programs (OP). Our short term programs are approximately 30 days in length and focus on assessment and stabilization of mental health disorders. Our long term programs can range from 30 days to 6 months or longer and offer the ability to gradually decrease the amount of daily and weekly clinical care as treatment milestones are reached.

Our Mental Health PHP Programs

Our mental health PHP programs offer full day treatment of at least five hours per day from 5 to 7 days per week. A partial hospitalization program is the most comprehensive outpatient program available and utilizes a multidisciplinary team of qualified professionals including board-certified psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and licensed counselors. PHP offers an intensive treatment experience without fully disrupting an individual’s life, as one can reside at home while attending the program on a daily basis. Supportive housing is available on an as needed basis when appropriate to circumstances.

In addition to numerous as needed ancillary services, this intense program includes the following:

  • Psychiatric evaluation, weekly follows up medication management sessions, and oversight by one of our board certified psychiatrists.
  • Compressive history and physicals and as needed follow up care provider by our MD Internist in order for medical issues and complications to be properly assessed and addressed.
  • Assessment, oversight, and coordination of care by one of our licensed psychologist.
  • Bio-psychosocial assessment that coordinates specialty provider assessment and considers the range of other potentially contributing areas of difficulty in order to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Intensive process and evidence based specialty group therapy sessions.
  • Individual therapy by a licensed clinician.
  • Family therapy by a licensed clinician.
  • Case management and continuing care planning.

Our Mental Health IOP Programs

Our mental health IOP programs offer daily care of at least three hours per day from 3 to 5 days per week. An Intensive outpatient program is a step-down from the PHP level of care and offers a less restrictive and intense treatment environment.  Patients can transfer from PHP to IOP upon progressing through treatment or directly enter into IOP when clinically appropriate. Patients continue to have access to a full range of treatment professionals, but with less frequency.

In addition to numerous as needed ancillary services, this intense program includes the following:

  • Oversight by one of our board certified psychiatrists with optional Psychiatric evaluation and weekly follows up sessions.
  • Assessment, oversight, and coordination of care by one of our licensed psychologist.
  • Bio-psychosocial assessment that coordinates specialty provider assessment and considers the range of other potentially contributing areas of difficulty in order to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Intensive process and evidenced based specialty group therapy sessions.
  • Individual therapy by a licensed clinician.
  • Family therapy by a licensed clinician.
  • Case management and continuing care planning.

Our Mental Health OP Programs

Our mental health OP programs offer daily care ranging from 1 to 9 hours per week. Outpatient groups run from 1 to 2 hours each, focus on specialty topics, and tend to meet the individual members were they are at in terms of functioning. This level of care is useful as a set-down from the IOP level of care, for maintaining therapeutic gains made, or as an entrance point based upon clinical needs. Any service offered in our PHP or IOP programs can be added on as an ancillary service.

Our outpatient program includes the following:

  • Assessment, oversight, and coordination of care by one of our licensed psychologist.
  • Bio-psychosocial assessment that considers the range of potentially contributing areas of difficulty in order to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Intensive process and evidenced based specialty group therapy sessions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mood disorder groups, psycho-education, trauma groups, and mindfulness training.
  • Individual therapy by a licensed clinician.
